1. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to any service booked with Dorset Exterior Cleaning, contactable at 07391 472 789 and exteriorcleaningdorset@gmail.com. By accepting a quote (in writing, by email, by SMS or verbally) you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. All quotes are based on the information supplied and, where possible, a physical on-site survey. If the actual conditions on the day differ materially (e.g. significantly larger area, hidden damage, restricted access), we will discuss any revised price with you before continuing.

3. Bookings and cancellation

Bookings are confirmed once a date is agreed. We do not take deposits, payment is on completion once you've signed off the finished work. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the slot to another customer.

4. Access, water and electricity

You agree to provide reasonable access to the property and to an outside tap and 240V power socket. If these are not available and were not disclosed when quoting, additional charges (e.g. water bowser hire) may apply.

5. Our work standards

All work is carried out by trained operatives. We are IPAF certified for safe work at height and hold £10M public liability and £5M employers' liability insurance. Certificates are available on request.

6. Softwash biocide

Roof and render softwash treatments include a full biocide application, which typically remains effective for around five years. We do not offer a fixed moss-return guarantee: regrowth depends on shade, tree cover, exposure and surrounding vegetation, all outside our control. Any specific expectations for a job will be set in writing at quote stage.

7. Pre-existing damage

We will point out any pre-existing damage we identify before starting (e.g. cracked tiles, loose pointing, failed sealant). We are not responsible for pre-existing issues, but we will always advise you and, where possible, work around them.

8. Payment

Payment is due on completion once the finished work has been walked around and signed off. We accept cash or bank transfer, we do not currently take card payments. For commercial customers, alternative terms can be agreed in writing before the job starts.

9. Complaints

If anything about the finished job doesn't meet your expectations, contact us within 7 days of completion and we will return to inspect. Where the fault falls within our workmanship, we will put it right at no cost to you.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our liability for any one job is limited to the value of the invoice for that job.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
